Sprinkled Expressions Congratulations

Standard

I made this card for my son Lewis for passing his A Levels …

I scored two lines using the simply scored. I stamped the star from the sprinkled expressions onto whisper white card in tempting turquoise, old olive and basic grey, then layered onto a piece of old olive card and adhered to the tempting turquoise card.  I punched a strip using the dotted scallop border punch and added the sentiment using dimensionals.

French Foliage Birthday

Standard

It is my uncle Alan’s birthday today and this is the card I sent …

I always struggle to think up new ideas for masculine cards, so I thought I would try using the french foliage stamp set.

On crumb cake card, using the biggest leaf & the splodges, stamp randomly all over in versamark.

Stamp in early espresso the birthday sentiment onto very vanilla card & punch out with the decorative label punch. Place 5 of the stamps onto a clear block and ink up in cajun craze, then ‘kiss’ with the early espresso ink (basically you press quickly onto a darker colour, to produce a two toned effect) and stamp onto very vanilla card. Stamp a second ‘post mark’ and punch out using the 3/4” circle punch. Then sponge the edges of all 3, using early espresso and sponge all over with cajun craze, to give an aged look.

Layer the leaves onto a piece of soft suede card and also punch out a strip using the dotted scallop ribbon border.

Glue the ribbon border onto the card. Use dimensionals to raise the leafy topper, ‘post mark’ & label which I added two silver brads.

Thank You

Standard

Do you find you end up with lots of bits of ribbon and card stock, well I throw nothing away and there is nothing more satisfying then making a card from all your left overs …

You always need a thank you card and it’s great to have one ready made for that occasion.

All I did was marry up some left over card stock with left over pieces of ribbon. With the island indigo, so saffron and certainly celery card stock, I punched out 3 strips, one using the dotted scallop ribbon border, scallop edge border & eyelet border punch. On a square of bashful blue card, I placed the strips down the left hand side. Stamped the thanks sentiment in the bottom right hand corner using the stamp-a-ma-jig.

For the ribbon heart, I  punched out a full heart in the bashful blue and then centralised the card (with the punched out heart) into the 2-3/8″ scallop circle punch. Using the En Francais and bashful blue ink pad, I stamped over the scallop circle and sponged the edges. I layered behind the cut out heart, my pieces of ribbon and adhered them.

Using a second 2-3/8 scallop circle, I placed behind the ribbons like a sandwich. This then allowed me to raise the ribbon heart scallop circle using dimensionals.

It’s easier then it sounds! Give it a go.

Wishing You Happiness

I was asked to make a card for lady who likes green and orange, I thought the everyday enchantment designer series paper would work well …

I used lucky limeade card stock and the peach parfait patterned paper, cut 3/4 of the size of the main card. I punched the top with the scallop trim border punch and adhered to the card and rounded off the bottom 2 corners. Punched out 4 x 1-3/8”squares from the everyday enchantment paper, In a square I placed a button, heart, bow and flower with a rhinestone. Placed a strip of lucky limeade, using the dotted scallop ribbon border punch. Then stamped the sentiment at the top, from the heard from the heart stamp set.
