Baja Breeze Butterflies

Standard

The card I have to share with you today is made using a mixture of stamp sets, punches and dies…

butterfly thoughts

I masked off a circle and with a sponge dauber to create a misty circle.

I stamped the blossom branch whilst the mask was still on.

To highlight the sponged area, I added faux stitching and to give the sentiment banner a little dimension, I used my bone folder.

Items used:

Image: hopeful thoughts Sentiment: itty bitty banners stamp set Ink: baja breeze Papers: whisper white, baja breeze & silver Accessories: rhinestones, sponge dauber, timeless type junior alphabet sizzlits, beautiful wings embosslits die, bitty butterfly punch, boho blossoms punch, elegant butterfly punch, papillon potpourri stamp set, stampin up marker pen & button.

Ahoy There Me Matey – Punch Art

Standard

Cameron is a little boy who is mad about pirates …

Like the guitar card I made for my son Lewis, there is a some free hand cutting involved, such as the pirate ship, sails, pirates shirt, the waves and the large cloud.

The hip-hip-hooray! it’s your birthday is using two stamps from the happiest birthday wishes stamp set, which I used my write marker pens to colour the words I required and stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure I got the sentiments straight.

I used the cupcake builder for the clouds. Petite pennants for the flag. Word window cut in half for the arms. The smallest flower from the boho blossoms punch, which I cut off two petals from either side to look like hands.

Circle punches were used for the face, ears, earring, cannon holes and the bandana (and the tails are the end leaf of the bird builder punch). The dots on the bandana are from using the dot, dot, dot stamp and whisper white craft stampin’ pad.

I like the way Cameron’s name looks like it’s bobbing about in the water.

Wishing You Happiness

Standard

I was asked to make a card for lady who likes green and orange, I thought the everyday enchantment designer series paper would work well …

I used lucky limeade card stock and the peach parfait patterned paper, cut 3/4 of the size of the main card. I punched the top with the scallop trim border punch and adhered to the card and rounded off the bottom 2 corners. Punched out 4 x 1-3/8”squares from the everyday enchantment paper, In a square I placed a button, heart, bow and flower with a rhinestone. Placed a strip of lucky limeade, using the dotted scallop ribbon border punch. Then stamped the sentiment at the top, from the heard from the heart stamp set.

Card stock: smooth lucky limeade; Designer Series Paper: everyday enchantment paper; Stamps: heard from the heart; Inks: basic black; Punches: boho blossoms, scallop trim border, square, dotted scallop ribbon border, itty bitty shapes & heart to heart; Accessories: rhinestone, snail adhesive, button, multipurpose liquid glue & stamp-a-ma-jig.

New Home

Standard

I needed a ‘Welcome to your New Home’ card and this is what I made …

Using a flourish with crumb cake ink, I first stamped onto scrap paper before the very vanilla card, this created a softer impression. I punched out 3 x 1-3/8 squares in mocha morning specialty dsp and glued a letter on each.  Raised the square with the letter E, the bird house & the bird using dimensionals. Finished off with pearls in the birds eye and in the centers of the boho blossom flowers.

Supplies from Stampin’ Up!

Card stock: smooth very vanilla & various card stock from the neutrals collection; Designer Series Paper: mocha morning specialty; Stamps: punch potpourri & bliss (both retired); Inks: crumb cake; Punches: 1-3/8 square, word window, bird builder, boho blossoms & eyelet border; Sizzlits Dies: timeless type junior alphabet; Accessories: pearls, taffeta ribbon, snail adhesive, multipurpose liquid glue & dimensionals.
