Floral 80th Birthday

A Special Lady on her 80th birthday, deserved a special card…

Floral 80th1

To give extra bling and sparkle I used glimmer paper, silver card, rhinestones & pearls

The fussy cut flowers were given extra dimension by using my bone folder

to curl the petals and adhered with glue dots.

Turtle Birthday Wishes

This card was sent to a young girl who collects turtle beanies…

So this cute card was just right.

To make this card I used the following punches –

2 1/2″ circle for the body (I had to use a circle framlit for the top of his shell), 3/4″ for his feet, 1/2″ for his spots

and 2″ x 1 3/4″ large oval for his head.

I sponged all the pieces and then glued his feet first at 12, 3, 6 & 9 o’clock to the underneath of the largest circle (garden green), then his head using dimensionals.

I glued all his spots (certainly celery) onto the 2nd largest circle (framelit) his shell and using dimensionals placed this onto the body.

His tails is part of an oval, cut into again by the punch to make moon shape.

You can see the structure of the turtle more clearly from the second picture.

To place the turtle onto your card (that I had already stamped a sentiment and placed a patterned strip of paper on), you will need dimensionals under each foot and body & glue for the head, as that will be flat to your card.

I finished off with some wobbly eyes, two punched out hearts and rhinestones.

It truly is easier than it sounds (it took me longer to write out the instructions, than it did to make the turtle!).

Humming Bird Celebration

The following stamp can be used for a number of occasions…

The humming bird is so beautiful and I just love the detail on this stamp.

This card makes a stunning Wedding Invitation, which I have been requested to make in navy, vanilla and coral colours.

So I made a subtle card by using delicate shades (as in the first photograph) and a more striking card using stronger shades of the same colour.

I also gave it a larger layer of navy card and as you can see, they make two very different looking cards.

It is difficult to truly show you just how lovely this stamp is

and by layering the wings gives it an added dimension.
