Full Gift Set

Standard

Sometimes it’s nice to make a full gift set …

Including a belly band around a small box of chocolates, the card, a bottle tag for wine or champagne and an envelope for either a gift voucher or lottery ticket …

To make the card …

I used pink pirouette card stock and the hostess cheerful treats designer series paper. I cut five different 1” squares and placed a punched out heart on each using a dimensional and finished of with a rhinestone on 3 of them. Placed melon mambo taffeta ribbon between the two different papers. The sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes stamp set and using the word window, modern label and decorative label punches.

Supplies from Stampin’ Up!

Card stock: smooth pink pirouette; Stamps: teeny tiny wishes; Inks: melon mambo; Punches: heart to heart, word window, modern label, decorative label; Accessories: snail adhesive, multipurpose liquid glue, rhinestones, taffeta ribbon & dimensionals.

It is my sons birthday today … Happy Birthday Lewis.

He is the lead guitarist in a band called The Thought Police and have done many successful local gigs. Their most rewarding to date was being asked to attend and play at a charity event for Christie’s, who raise money for cancer treatment.

So clearly the card had to be a guitar …

and the cake just had to be a guitar too …

I asked Gill, a fellow Pink Lady and great friend, if she would make a cake for Lewis, to match the card I had made. As you can see the cake is absolutely fabulous! Such a talented lady.

The card was mostly free hand cutting with the help of the following supplies from Stampin’ Up!

Card stock: smooth basic black, crumb cake, soft suede & brushed silver; Dies: timeless type alphabet set; Inks: soft suede; Punches: 1-3/4”, 1-3/8” & 1-1/4” circle; Accessories: mini silver brads, snail adhesive, multipurpose liquid glue & dimensionals.

Sending You Love and A Hug

Standard

We all need a little love and a reassuring hug from time to time and it is also nice to send a card to show someone we care, by sending them love and a hug in a card…

I used 3 x 3 riding hood red card, a piece of whisper white card with the sentiment from easy events stamped in basic black ink. Placed some riding hood red taffeta ribbon tied in a knotted at the top. Punched a full heart out of red glimmer paper and finish with a rhinestone.

You can adhere the heart using dimensionals, but I used a handmade spring so it wobbles.

Happy Birthday Mum

Standard

It is my mum-in-laws birthday next week, but going out for a meal to celebrate to night.

Happy Birthday Madeline …

Using bravo burgundy card stock and paisley petals designer series paper, I rounded the top of the card with the corner punch, tore the top piece of patterned paper at an angle and the bottom piece of patterned paper with the eyelet border punch. Where the papers met, I used the lovely victoria crochet trim and an antique brad. To give the layered effect of the hearts I draw round the heart treat cup and the centre heart was done with the full heart punch. The heart with the little bow was adhered to the card using multipurpose liquid glue and the heart with Mum on was raised using dimensionals. I placed a happy birthday greeting at the bottom and completed with pearls.

Here is a triangle gift box for either a necklace or earrings …
