Wishing You Happiness

Standard

I was asked to make a card for lady who likes green and orange, I thought the everyday enchantment designer series paper would work well …

I used lucky limeade card stock and the peach parfait patterned paper, cut 3/4 of the size of the main card. I punched the top with the scallop trim border punch and adhered to the card and rounded off the bottom 2 corners. Punched out 4 x 1-3/8”squares from the everyday enchantment paper, In a square I placed a button, heart, bow and flower with a rhinestone. Placed a strip of lucky limeade, using the dotted scallop ribbon border punch. Then stamped the sentiment at the top, from the heard from the heart stamp set.

For The New Mr and Mrs

Standard

The colour scheme is cream & latte with minimum fuss and this is the card I came up with …

Using crumb cake card, I added a strip of very vanilla and a further strip of mocha morning dsp, finished off at one end using the eyelet border punch. I knotted around some crumb cake taffeta ribbon, before adhering to the card. Then placed on a very vanilla heart, complete with a pearl using multipurpose glue and off set a second heart, which I had stamped the words Mr & Mrs and raised using dimensionals.

I just love the simplicity of this card, but so pretty.

Lots of Love

Standard

This card is made with 2 of my favourite things … lilac & hearts

I stamped out in perfect plum the 3 hearts and then punched them out with the heart to heart punch. I hand cut a wave out of white whisper card stock and randomly glued the hearts part on and part off the card stock. I stamped the sentiment in the lower corner and using dimensionals, I raised the whisper white wave with hearts to the bottom of the card. Then finished it off with ribbon and a bow.

Happy Mother’s Day

Standard

I saw a lovely window style card, which inspired me to make this Mother’s Day card …

I stamped out 9 different designs using various stamps from my Stampin’ Up! collection, then punched them out with the 1-1/4 square punch. Using the 1-3/8 square punch, I punched out a further 9 squares in crumb cake and then adhered them together.

On a piece of perfect plum, I arranged and adhered the 9 squares, leaving a very thin border around them all, and leaving an inch at the bottom to enable me to use my scallop edge border punch and place a knotted band of crumb cake taffeta ribbon.

Placing a further strip of eyelet border punched whisper white card and then placed onto a piece of crumb cake card (1/4″ wider and 1″ longer) with a scallop edge border punch finish at the bottom.

Using the beautiful wings embosslits die through the Big Shot, I cut one large and 2 of the stripped butterflies in vellum and one dotty and 2 of the smallest ones in perfect plum. Then layered the coloured ones on top of the vellum butterflies and adding pearls to both the butterflies and selected squares.

It’s not a quick card to make, but being for Mother’s Day, it was well worth the extra effort.

Here’s one in not quite navy …

and a smaller version …

Wishing all you mums out there a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Rainbow Hearts

Standard

I was asked to make a colourful card made of hearts and I think this just fits the bill nicely …

After cutting out my square piece of whisper white card stock, I scored 3 lines close to the bottom of the card and left a gap just short of where the heart to heart punch would clear. (it’s easier to score before you punch out the hearts) I selected scrap pieces of card stock and place through the Big Shot using the perfect polka dot embossing folder, choose one of the colours from the hearts to match up with your main card and for the stamped sentiment.

Place your embossed card piece behind the punched out card stock and glue. Be careful not to press too hard when adhering or you will flatten the scored lines.

Card stock: smooth white whisper, peach parfait & various scrap pieces; Stamps: sincere salutations; Inks: peach parfait; Punches: heart to heart; Accessories: snail adhesive, multipurpose liquid glue.
